For the last few years we have been working on one of our most exciting projects – Chalet-hôtel Blythe. This luxury boutique-hôtel will be the first five star hôtel in not only Les Gets but in the whole Portes du Soleil region, and we are thrilled to be the interior architects and interior designers for this prestigious development.

In this blog we will take you inside the design process and show you a few of the design documentation types that we have been working on for this property.

We are responsible for the design of all of the guest spaces in the property – from entrance hall and reception, to salon, dining area, corridors, bedrooms, bathrooms. bar and leisure facilities. For these rooms we provide a full set of room layout and elevation plans showing the artistic intent, along with the associated technical information the procurement and build teams.

Bathroom designs are particularly complicated, as in a relatively small space we need to create a detailed design for the client’s approval, as well as providing precise information for the builder, plaster-boarder, electrician, plumber, tiler and painter. In addition to materials and equipment specifications, we provide to-scale elevations for each wall in each bathroom, giving all required information for the Team.

We  work closely with the client to develop the interior style and design of their property. The level of collaboration depends on the wishes and involvement of the individual client. For each project we generate moodboards for the various spaces, encompassing the architectural “look” (wall, floor, ceiling, electrical finishes etc.), along with the soft furnishing ideas for each room.

We also model digitally rendered images so that the client can visualise the overall design scheme.  We do this in-house, and work on refining the details so that they respect the chosen materials, furnishings and finishes for the room.

We only have six months left before chalet-hôtel Blythe is finished and welcoming its first guests. There is a lot still to do, we but we are so excited about this project, and can’t wait to bring you the grand reveal!
